General Laborer/Drilling Assistant

Job Description

Role Description:


The General Laborer/Drilling Assistant role entails providing support to a team that is drilling for soil samples at a construction site. This position is performed onsite, with the team meeting each morning in Pahrump, NV, before traveling together to the jobsite(s) located in Nye County, NV. This is a temporary, contract position, and the expected duration of employment is around one month, due to the size of the project.


Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):


  • Lifting machinery and tools to assist the team
  • Performing other general labor tasks as required to facilitate the drilling process


Qualifications:


  • Entry-level experience or is seeking to start a career in the construction industry
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors in high temperatures
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening
  • Must have transportation to ensure arriving on time for work


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Possesses a valid drivers license
  • Obtained certifications related to safety and construction that are still valid
